There are several reasons you may be locked out of your vehicle. The key may have gotten worn and no longer work, or it’s been snapped or perhaps lost. You may have even locked it inside accidentally. In particular, during the colder months, it’s not uncommon to have key or lock issues early in the morning as the key can snap in the lock if it’s frozen and you try to force it. Whatever the reason, we can help with damage-free entry to regain access and get you back on the road again.

Quick and reliable service for tradesmen

We were contacted recently by a van owner who was unable to gain access to their vehicle. As all tradesmen are aware, their van is akin to a mobile office so keeping it on the road at all times is imperative. Any delays can cause loss of work, leading to a loss of income and potential damage to their reliable reputation. As such, any issues need to be addressed quickly so they can get on with doing what they do best. In the scenario you see in the picture above, our mobile auto locksmith was able to quickly arrive at their location and open the door without causing any damage.

Don’t attempt to do it yourself

Whilst it may be tempting to grab whatever is at hand and try and force entry yourself, this isn’t something we recommend. We’ve previously written about why this isn’t a good idea, not least because, aside from wasting your valuable time, there’s a good chance you’ll damage your vehicle. Trying to force the lock or window often leads to an expensive repair job as locks and window mechanisms often get damaged in the process. Each vehicle is different and more often than not, you won’t have the specialist tools needed to do this yourself, let alone be able to pick the lock safely. If it’s an electronic entry system, we can deal with that too. And, if we can’t repair your key/fob because it’s lost or too heavily damaged, we can program a new one for you at the side of the road.
